Best time to visit Punakha
The best time to visit Punakha is in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).
During these months, the weather is warm and mostly dry, but evenings can be chilly, so it’s good to bring warm clothes.
In the summer months, temperatures can reach up to 22°C, and though there may be afternoon rain, it’s less crowded and more affordable.
Winter is also a nice time to visit, as Punakha stays warmer than many other places in Bhutan.
However, nights can get very cold, with temperatures dropping to about -7°C.
