Summers in Jaisalmer are extremely hot because of its location in the Thar Desert. Temperatures can rise as high as 44°C, making it uncomfortable for travel. It’s best to avoid visiting during the summer months.
The monsoon season brings very little rain to Jaisalmer—sometimes none at all. The light showers only add to the humidity, and the heat still remains.
By October, the temperatures begin to drop, and the weather becomes more comfortable. December and January can get quite chilly at night, with temperatures falling to around 7°C or 8°C.
