Inle Lake is a freshwater lake in Nyaungshwe Township, Shan State, Myanmar. It is the country’s second-largest lake, covering about 45 square miles. Located 2,900 feet above sea level, it has a hot spring on the northwest side. Many fish and snail species live here and are found nowhere else. Each year, thousands of migratory seagulls visit the lake from November to January.
