Lakshadweep - places to visit in Lakshadweep

Lakshadweep is a group of 36 small islands and coral reefs in the Laccadive Sea, near Kerala, India. Not all islands have people living on them, and only a few are open to tourists. Kavaratti is one of the main islands, known for its beautiful mosques like the Ujra Mosque and the Kavaratti Aquarium, which displays local fish, corals, and small sharks. The islands are famous for their clean beaches, coconut trees, and water activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, and fishing.

Near Bangaram Island, divers can explore a sunken ship from the 1700s called the Princess Royal. Tourist resorts on Agatti and Kadmat offer boat rides with glass bottoms and diving trips to nearby uninhabited islands. Minicoy Island has an old lighthouse built during British rule, which is still working today.
